Family Fun Night – Friday Night Movie – “Shark Tale”

There’s a FREE movie night for residents and friends of the neighbourhoods that surround downtown Kitchener.  Popcorn and water or juice available. Bring the kids, a cuddly blanket for them, and enjoy this animated comedy film.

There will be some film-related crafts for the kids before the movie.

Shark Tales, by DreamWorks Animation tells the story of a young fish named Oscar (voiced by Will Smith) who falsely claims to have killed the son of a shark mob boss to win favour with the mob boss’ enemies and advance his own community standing. The film features the voices of Jack Black as Lenny, Renée Zellweger as Angie, Angelina Jolie as Lola, Martin Scorsese as Sykes and Robert De Niro as Don Lino. It was a box office success and was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Animated Feature.

The movie is suitable for young family members and will be shown at the Downtown Community Centre; starts at 6:30 pm.  You can phone the community centre for more details: 519-741-2501.  A poster is attached.

The February co-host is Central Frederick Neighbourhood Association and the night is sponsored by the Downtown Neighbourhood Alliance (DNA).   Have fun with crafts before the movie starts.
